    The sycamore

    I remember the Sycamore pub, I used to live in Frederick Road just opposite the pub,we used to make a few bob around bonfire night outside the pub with a guy fawkes. Does anyone remember the chemist shop on the other corner, it used to have those large glass vessels full of coloured liquids.

    Salford Park Aston cycling

    I remember the fire at Rowntrees warehouse, we came away with armfulls of smoke damaged wine gums, tasted awfull but still went back next day for more, they were piled up in a charred heap with loads of us kids sifting through 'em.

    Dents on Lichfield Road

    Shops I remember Dents being a car sales showroom on the corner of Church Lane and Aston Hall Rd., they later took the old tram depot at Witton. This would be early to middle sixties.
