My great Grandfather, Joseph Chapman (1889-1951) also worked at Baxter & Allen on Spring Hill. He is listed on the census as an Annealer. Does anyone know if there would be any records or photographs of the factory anywhere?
Very interesting. It is tragic that in the name of progress Birmingham destroyed a large part of the character of the city. Irreplaceable, sad to see them continuing to do this at the Hagley Road retirement village!
