    Does anybody remember a charity that used to give out boots for children of poor families just after the war? I remember going to Steelhouse Lane and collecting a pair of boots and a pair of socks we used to call them 'Daily Mail' boots, but I don't know if this was the Birmingham Mail. J Edwards
