    When I lived in Clifton rd 1 back of 107. There was a charabanc (coach) trip to weston I think !! we called it a sharabang.     I went to Upper Thomas Street and lived in Clifton Road until about 1955. I am looking for information on the Gas Works in Satley .... and also trying to find out which school Mom would have gone to. She lived in Saltley. Any photos help appreciated.

    Hi Thanks for replying....my partners's Mother is 97 and says she was taken on in Madame Kings Dress shop in Birmingham City centre in 1930... She says she always wore a had and gloves !!! who didn't then ?? She says it was near/in Union street. Sorry I cannot help further..... Humble Brummie

    Anyone know a Patricia Cullen from Witton who worked at Kynochs in the 1940's. It would mean a lot to me if anyone knew her. A old Brummie babe. She was Irish and had a lot of children.:pride:

    Does anyone remember Patricia Cullen in Witton she had a lot of children... she worked at Kynocks in the war years. Maybe it was called the square in Victoria times ... putting an island in there would change that. Fond memories of Witton my Gran May Tipping lived not far from there.
