    Driving in Days Gone By

What memories all this brings back. My first car was a 1932 Morris minor for which I pad the princely sum of £10. As I was trained in the RAF as an aircraft engine mechanic there was no problem in undoing four bolts ho;lding the engine in place. then I stripped it down and took it to a gargae on...

    Abbey Road

Thanks for your info. MWS. I was questioning who lived at No. 46 not 42. I lived at No 42 and Edward D Johnson was my elder Brother. The man I spoke of was the son at No.46 and I am trying to recall their names

He was captured and spent a long time in the Japanese camps. Amazingly his mother used to receive letters from...

    Twister Twisterer Warp Twister

The end - 60 years ago

We had two sisters next door and they took us regularly to the Lickeys. We used to love going to the front on the trams that had an open front. I was just wondering what the top speed of the trams were. Looking back It was certainly dangerous. Health and safety would have a field day.

    Nostalgia

What memories have been stirred. Would be good if every modern day child was to see this. Perhaps make them more thankful for what they have
