I used to go to the same dentist with equal trepidation. I remember one time he dropped his instruments and another time he filled a tooth which continued to jump on a nerve. He offered to take it out plug it for a week and pit another one in. I could not face that and told him to remove the tooth.

I went to the original Kings Heath Infants and Junior Schools on Institute Road until 1965. I also lived in Springfield Road but left there in 1972. My family still lived there until 1977.

I don't think that photo could have been taken in Kings Heath School, Institute Road, because the pupils around him seem to be wearing a uniform and I don't remember any uniform at that school, or his visit. I would have been in 1962 so in the first year of Juniors.

I grew up in Kings Heath. Little did I know that my future husband who was not a Brummie, had an Uncle who was Vice Principal of St Peter's College, Saltley. His Uncle's name was Robert Seaman. He passed on in about 1985.
