    Bishops Street CIRCA 1814

Yes, Yes... you are correct. Jennens Row is what I meant. I think your potential explanation makes sense and certainly worthy of consideration. Given that other information meshes so closely, and residences are so very close, it actually seems a very likely explanation. Quite honestly that's...

Does anyone recognize this location in the photo? Is this actually at a location named Jennings Row? Many sincere thanks to all you that...

    Bishops Street CIRCA 1814

Thank you Lyn! I thought that had to be a typo as I could not find any history of a Jennings Row. Now I need to find Jennings Street. There was a mention of a Jennings Street being renamed to Fox Street but that looks like it is right next to Jennings Row so that Jennings Street would not be...

    Bishops Street CIRCA 1814

Yes, it was not a birth certificate, but a record. My ancestor's name is Thomas Millard, born of Thomas Millard and Sarah. Also appearing with a variant of that name, Millward in coordinating records. Father was a snuffer maker.

    Bishops Street CIRCA 1814

I am trying to find the location of (or ANY information on) Bishops Street as it existed in 1814 Birmingham. I have an ancestor's birth certificate from Oct 1814 stating residence was Bishops Street. My 1839 map only shows an empty space between other streets in the location where Bishops...

    Lost streets of birmingham

Do you know where I can access this 1795 map in full, or ideally, a map dating to around 1814? (I have a birth record stating a residence of "Bishops Street". I do not see a Bishops street on my 1839 map; and suspect the Bishops street that appears on later maps is not a location matching...

    Adams', of Aston 1750-1850

Thank you so much for replying. Yes, I understand there was some form of DNA sharing, adoption, mixed families, etc. According to estimates from FamilyTree DNA, the co-joining of the Adams' and the Millers most likely in this general time-frame, give or take a hundred years or so either way...

    Adams', of Aston 1750-1850

I am trying to find a connection between a James Adams of Aston to a Thomas Miller (ard?) born in Aston. I am related thru yDNA to James Adams (1820-1880), a silversmith/goldsmith/jeweler who lived in the vicinity of Livery Street and Bread (now Cornwall) St. I am also related thru Ydna to...
