    Airships over Birmingham ?

    I was born in 1939 and lived in Wood Lane, Handsworth. There was a cul-de-sac off Wood Lane that led to the cricket field (my first school was in the cricket pavilion.) At some point there was an airship tethered in the field. We went to see it. It was amazing. Cant remember what year i.e...

    Montgomery School

    Mr Brazier ( later to become the headteacher of Montgomery Primary school) was my class teacher at St Mary's primary school, Handsworth just after the war. I was a pupil there for a while before going on the the newly opened Cherry Orchard School. It is a long time ago but I remember him well...
