On a Nottingham Facebook page people think it is around Sneinton Market in Nottingham Thanks everyone!

Well this looks like it might be it - Handel Street near Sneinton Market - the bags might be shopping from the market. This row has been redeveloped somewhat but very similar features? What do people think?

Well I used to visit Nottingham a lot from the early 80s. I checked Sneinton Market but that is single storey buildings. - checking around there now.

That is a good thought - my memory is that it was Brum but it is always possible that it is not.

Here’s another shot from the same place showing a pallet - wonder if it the markets area. Possibly a street that has been redeveloped?

I saw that one but I think the one I am looking for is more local to Brum?

I’m trying to find out where I took this picture of W J Pearson and Sons Limited. Taken in the 70s. Probably a street running West to East judging by the light and shadows. Also a one way street but with a large lamppost.

Lovely pictures. I have discovered my great grandparents lived at 8 Back of 85 Arthur Street in 1881 - wonder if anyone has images of that part of the street back then?
