    It's all very complicated, it could be either, my Dad didn't think his father ever married his mother, hence my original enquiry to the crem, but paperwork found since, suggested they did marry, but I can't find any records.

    Thank you. Who registered my Uncles Birth? (I'm not sure, I think it was his Mom, I'm assuming so, as Father was unknown). My Dad's birth, I don't know, as haven't found his birth certificate yet.

    Yes he was born in 1921, but it looks as if the birth cert was reissued, (duplicated) in 1970's.

    How would I gain access to the eroll please? Ideally would like to know where she was laid to rest. As would like to scatter my Dad's ashes in the same place. (My Dad had no relationship with her at all after the war).

    Yes it could well be, because he was born out of wedlock. I couldn't find anything relating to a marriage either, but have found an Ada Harris, whom I thought was probably her. The birth certificate I have for Walter Ronald Lashford is dated in the 70's and has Alice listed as a chamois glove...

    Thank you. Does it state how old Walter was? I wonder if Walter was her her son, or her brother? Walter Ronald's father was unknown on his birth certificate. (but Mum was listed as Alice). Thank you for helping me, I'm at a dead end with Ancestry myself.

    Morning, yes it's fine to move it. Thank you. Ada was born 1897-1899 in Laburnum Street. Wollaston. She moved to Birmingham at some point, I believe she married William Charles Harris, she had a son (William John Harris) on 25th July 1934. She returned to Wollaston where she died in 1946, or...
