    I realise this is a bit of a niche question! I'm doing some research, and I'm trying to find out which bus(es) would someone have taken in 1952 if they'd needed to get from Hockley to Rednal? Or would it have been a tram? And what route would have been likely to take? I'm not from Birmingham...

    Hello! I don't know if there's an answer to this, but I've discovered a family member lived at Larches Street in the early 1950s, and worked as a Coke Charger at a gasworks. Does anyone know which gasworks this was likely to be? I know there were a few, and they all seem quite a way from Larches...

    Fascinating thread. Is there anyone here who might remember my grandma, Mrs (Edna) Flanagan. She was one of the cooks at Nazareth House, Rednal, between around 1953 and 1958? Her little girl (my auntie) Suzanne Flanagan was there too, but I don't think they were allowed to spend much time...
