Oh well, never mind. He was not a real Bennett he changed his surname for an unknown reason, but obviously his decendants are Bennett. One of his daughters married Cornforth.

That would be lovely, very kind of you :) I also have Bennett in my tree. You wouldn't have Henry (Niner/Bennett) 1838-1916?

Also not related to the wealthy ones! Legend has it that there was a disagreement and some brothers including my GGrandfather were cut out.

No I haven't seen it, but wouldn't want to put you to any trouble. I might have a look to see if it is on the grave site (can't just remember what it is called). I am in Northampton now, moved here in 1995 but go back to Brum to see family. Well pre Covid I did! Thank you :)

Mother and baby home run by Nuns'

Thank you Paul. She never spoke of it just the odd snippet. I have been reading up on this today. It must have been awful. She was definitely emotionally traumatised. In the last few days I have found the child but unfortunately the mother died in 2018.

That would fit I think. She lived in Lea House Road, birth registered in Raddlebarn. I will have a look at the link. Thank you

Mother and baby home run by Nuns'

Morning :) Can someone advise me how to find where an unmarried 21 year old and her baby might have been sent? The baby was born 1961 in Selly Oak hospital and was adopted. I have recently heard of the adoption scandals and wonder if this played a part here. Although it was never mentioned that...

    Clulee - Hampton Street

Hi Lyn, absolutely fine, happy to share. I am so lucky in that I have my Paternal Grandparent's photos and some family bits and pieces that came with them. The poem is in a book given to my GGrandfather's sister on her birthday which all the family wrote in for her. It was written in 1877. The...
