DUKE OF CORNWALLS LIGHT INFIRTRY 1st BAT

You could always try to apply for his service records, costs about £30, I think from GOV.com I have quite a few of this type of photograph, sadly nothing written on the back but clearly must have been taken in India. This must have been his passing out photograph as it's dated 1931, he is...

    Bolton Road, Small Heath

Love the pictures of Miles Street, I have the black & white one myself. If you walk up towards the bridge and turn left, that's Lawden Road where I lived until 1960. We lived in a flat like the ones that can be seen in Miles Street. Happy times...!!!

She attended Acocks Green School and my grandparents are buried at St Mary's, I think I've got that right...

    Miles Street, Small Heath

I remember a pub in Miles Street but I was only a child so didn't get in there. I can remember walking past on our way to Coventry Rd (I think) when we went shopping. I found a photo on here today of Lawden Road before the maisonettes were demolished, I don't suppose you know what year they were...

    Miles Street, Small Heath

I lived in Lawden Road which I think was just round the corner from Miles Street. We were in an upstairs maisonette between 1949 & 1960. Does anyone have any memories?
