    My friend's Mum worked for Fillerys Toffees. We used to meet her from work on a Friday as she bought home bags of the toffees, also whilst we were waiting, other workers leaving used to offer us toffees as well. I don't think we ever turned down an offer, as treats were so rare.

    Phil, there was also another church, or more correctly, a Mission Hall, it was called St Bedes. I used to go to Sunday School there. It was a green corrugated building opposite the Warwick Road side of Greet School.

    Love the photo of Small Heath Paddling pools, My Mum used to take my sister and myself there as a treat. I think the bottom of the pools were painted different colours, making the water look a different colour in each pool.

    Thank you for the lovely pictures of Greet, I went to Greet School and lived in Lea Road so they bought back so many wonderful memories. I don't suppose that you have any of Lea Road, I used to live at the bottom of the road, opposite Greet School
