Thank you, My Great, great, great granddad Dudley Hands was a baker at number 12, just next door to The Barrell (what's the other word starting with T?) I was able to locate his house as after number 13 (Provisions dealer )and 14 (another baker) the 1851 census moves to number 1 court 4. But...

Dear Ann, Funny your grandparents were at 393 Bolton Road in 1911. My Great, great grandparents ran the Carver Arms. I haven't been able to find any records of it (apart from a family photo) until now. It turns out they were renting 393 Bolton Road in 1911 and it is listed as the Carver Arms in...
