    Tidy Up Photo Please

    Morturn had done a wonderful job of tidying up my old photos and I have another one that needs restoration. Quite damaged I know....... but any improvement would be appreciated!

    Curley Stores Cooksey Road

    Can anyone recall Curley Stores? My Gt Grandmother Gertrude Curley ran it. Here is a picture of the shop and a picture of Gertrude behind the counter.

    Vauxhall Road Nechells Shop

    This is a photo of Phil Nash (Great Grandfather) outside the shop owned by my Great Grandmother Louisa Nash formerly Reynolds, Louisa was born Haddon and related to the family of Thomas Haddon of Thomas Haddon & Stokes. Taken in Vauxhall Road approx 1937 to 1940.

    Comedians

    Can anyone recall Tom Curley? Born John Thomas Curley. He was a comedian working the clubs in 1940 through to 1967 when he died aged 49. His partner was a lady called Jean who played the accordion. He may have been part of an act called Barrow Boys?
