My great grandfather Thomas Wilkes was a guns smith and lived at 56 Princip St around 1910-1930s. I think the factory was in Price St at the back. Anyone with any information would be appreciated. His wife Mary Anne Hathaway died 1906 and he Married an Alice Davies in 1907.
My father (Leonard Wilkes) played for Aston Villa 1923-1925 in the reserves. He was also a ball boy for 3yrs prior to this Also a Birmingham city rep at 12. 1919 I guess Do these clubs have records so I can verify this?
I have a James Davis 41452 5th Res R War Regt at 56 Princip St Birmingham. I am trying to obtain record. But don't know where to start. This was in 1918 and 1920.
