This Friday the site will go down for a while, it's being moved to a much faster connection but it means I have a lot of work to do to bring it back up (in between my actual job)

apologies about the downtime, the router keeps cutting out as soon as it connects a new one has been ordered and will be here tomorrow. In the meantime i dont know how long it will stay up for until then

This weekend I will migrating the server to a more efficient Ryzen build so there will be a brief downtime when I swap out the drives and power down the current server

Apologies for the down time lately, the router has been giving up the ghost so I needed to replace it. This has now been replaced and configured so all "should" be good now!!

Hi there will be approximately 30min downtime today while I apply software updates.

Just rebuilding the search function so it may not work that well until it has completed.

At some point this weekend the forum will be down for approximately an hour while I upgrade the network.

On Sunday I will be upgrading the software to the latest version this will mean downtime of approx half a day. (assuming all goes well) This has to be done as we are out of mainstream support now. This is server software not forum

Sad news that today Norton motorcycles have gone into administration.

New NIC has now been installed this is a dual card meaning we now have 3 ports. two providing internet and one that joins them to provide site access. This should hopefully resolve the issues we have been having.

Seems a Windows update blocked the server should be fine now

The site will unavailable for a couple of hours or so next Saturday as I migrate the site to a new I7 server to replace our aging one. The main OS will be moved to an SSD as well which means all HDD's will be solid state. The new server will be much more eco friendly as well.
