Yes, I was often sent in there with a coal order as I walked to school. Must have been early 1960s. Crikey the office and the bloke working there were always thick with coal dust, never cleaned.

I thought I'd drop this here. This headstone of Joseph the Cat tucked away in Elmdon churchyard was an early childhood memory and represents a small part of Elmdon Hall history.

Fox & Goose still going strong I think. Remember about 1977 when it closed for a year due to trade union action.
