    Vine Inn Lichfield Road Aston

    Fleur-de-Lys pies

    From what i recall,the horsemeat shop was on Highgate Road,directly acrosss the road from the town end of Ladypool road. I can see it now,the last time i set eyes on the place was in 1976 when i was living in Balsall Heath.

    When i moved to Leicester,from Birmingham in 1979, i used to travel to Loughborough of a Saturday evening,for some months, to play snooker. The snooker hall there was also above a Burtons.

    Preedys in Harborne

    Not the Harborne one,but my mum worked at the one in Station St for a while,in the lat 60's/early 70's.

    Snow Hill Station

    preedy's brings back memory's for me,my late mom worked at the branch on Station Street,nipped in to see her a few time.s on some errand or other,one of those almost alladdins cave type's of shop that seemed to hold many secret's to a young lad at the time.

    Bradford Street

    When i worked in Rea Street South,72/73,i often used to walk down to digbeth on my lunch break,saw a few cast members during those times,notably Ronald Allen. And has been pointed out,The Castaways was indeed the club.

    That could easily be The Avenue,on the corner of Avenue Road,and Aston Road North, now no longer in existence. I'm sure the flats in the distance are the same ones in one of your Rocky Lane pictures.

    Windows 10

    Looks very much like the back,and sometimes front of my computer,what with driving sims,and Elite Dangerous,i have a flight stick,and a steering wheel,the latter on a stand,keeps me out of trouble though,so all is good.
