My wife worked at a woollen mill in Yorkshire. She says that after she had taken the full reels of wool off her machine they were taken downstairs to the Twisters who then rewound it to the necessary thickness ]ply] needed.

We had two sisters next door and they took us regularly to the Lickeys. We used to love going to the front on the trams that had an open front. I was just wondering what the top speed of the trams were. Looking back It was certainly dangerous. Health and safety would have a field day.

Bought my first Automatic in 1972 and never changed since. Only ever had one go wrong and that wasn't major. Been driving since 1956 and sadly just given up. So glad I taught my wife to drive. Wonder how many miles I had done.
