Yes, definately the Victorian Tea Rooms. My office was on St Philips Place and I used the Restaurant several time a week. It was run by two chaps who were friends - a really nice couple. One used to be Maitre d' or something similar at the Holiday Inn. I think they sold up, not sure.

One of my ancestors was living at 16 Sheep St, Aston on the 1881 census. I've got maps from 1912 and 1839 showing the houses but wondered if anyone can identify house numbers? (Probably mikejee:D) Thanks in advance. David

In the 50s there were Onions at 157 and 159 Bromford Lane. Mr Onions had a small shop and next to it were Nancy and Raymond.

Just to let you know, there's an "open day" for people who have relatives buried there. As it's been impossible to get to the graves due to building work, Rev Freda Evans is letting us have a look at them. It's 10 - 12 this morning.

Thanks for reminding me of Pig's Trotters. Yum yum. Me and my mom loved them even though my dad wouldn't touch them. Got to go to our farmer's market and get a couple.

Rupert, all those are still regular meals for me, however the price of Fish & Chips now means that we don't have them as often as before. :-(
