I picked up the 3 volumes of "Old and New Birmingham" by Robert K Dent at the weekend car boot. They are divided into: "From earliest times to 1760", ”From 1760 to 1832" and “From 1832 to 1880". Originally published 1878 -1880 these were re-published in 1972. There's an interesting item...
