Thanks for all the advice. It turns out it was something really simple, wind noise from my video doorbell, though why after a couple of years it`s suddenly started interfering with my pc ?

Hi jukebox, it seems to be from the computer. I bought a usb soundcard which hasn`t helped at all. I hope i don`t have to take the back off to check the fan? I`m tempted to take it to a computer repair shop & probably get ripped off.

Thanks Mort, The pc ( aio ) is not very old, less than a year so i doubt if it`s a cooling fan problem? I`m going to try a usb sound card to see if it improves things. I do miss my music, tried listening to A Lark Ascending & it sounded like a Lark with a sore throat!

I have sound problems on my pc. It sounds like wind interference & I've exhausted my very limited skills trying to solve the problem. Any help is appreciated.

Through the 70s/80s we fostered a young lad classed as ESN. I taught him the best i could to read & write. He was a lovely lad & still keeps in touch today.

If it`s as hot as the 90`s Richard then all those pots would need watering every day, a bit of a chore especially if you want to go on holiday or even for a day or two. I have a couple of fairly large padding pools which i fill with 6 inches of water & bung the pots in & they usually survive...

In the garden today, a lonesome pigeon. I think it must have been it`s partner that was ravaged by a Sparrow hawk on the village green. Pigeons pair for life, so i`m wondering if this pigeon will stay single till it dies? Where have all the finches gone?
