Wish i could remember, i must have been very young at the time.. All i can remember is several ladies making yummy cakes. I also think i remember a young lady in full waitress gear saying something like " welcome to Satis " which i don`t understand?
I don`t remember much about Christmas at home but at school it was magical. In the classroom under those huge globe lights making the decorations, usually the concertina type to hang from one corner of the room to the other, painting sprigs of hedge silver. And then there was the Xmas panto...
Running in, please pass. Learned to drive in the army, eventually a staff car driver. Drove some nice people & some snobby ones { young officers } Managed 120 mph on the Autobahn, great stuff for a young driver !
I have a Dovecote in my garden & there are usually 3 or 4 doves flitting around. Yesterday i found one of the doves dead in the dovecote ( such lovely birds close up } This morning i counted 11 doves in the garden so i was wondering if they were having a wake for their passing comrade.:)
Hackers & scammers should be shot at dawn. I was going to say hung at dawn but that`s a bit grisly. If these hackers are clever enough to scam us, then why haven`t we got someone clever enough to stop them in the first place.?
When i joined the army at 17 & i heard recruits saying ` darling or my lovely` i must admit i was a tad confused. Here in Co.Durham such terms of endearment are ` pet or hinney`. When someone asks my name i say ` you can call me `sir` just to see the confused look on their face.
My artificial grass never needs attention Except to sweep a few leaves off. Never any weeds growing through either. Why are some people so snobbish about " that`s not grass " as one of my neighbours said!
