Did anyone see last nights programe of the schools?? I was horrified to see that Cockshut Hill school had a policeman walking the school!!!!!! He had been working there for 3yrs. What on earth is life coming too? I remember looking for a friends dog in the school field and a Policeman...

Ian, Thank you so much for listing the names of Ada's children. Ada was my Mother's Aunt on her Father's side so all the children would have been her cousins......is that right? Sadly my Mother never spoke of her extended family so I know very little about them and therefore have no photos...

Yes this is true as I lost a baby boy in 1963 and was advised that this was the best way "to deal with it" to put him in with an adult!!! This was at Loveday Street as well.

In July 1961 hubby's first car was a 1947 Austin 10 taken outside his home in St Agatha's Road Ward End. He took his test and passed first time in this car. :thumbsup: Doesn't he look young :D

I too Val would love to know if there are any records of the name of employees as in our family tree we have someone who was a "coach builder" and we assume! that he worked at the Met. Fingers crossed eh!
