    A bit further up and we have this newsagents on the corner of (?) note the Evening Mail sign on the door and the two bricked up windows upstairs, typical corner shop although the changes it has seen over the years , plenty of cleared sites around it too.

    We now move out of the City Centre to Bordesley Green and the then new development of Grasmere Park off Wolesley Street and Garrison Lane. This was the inner city redevelopment of the 1990's old house and factories were wiped away to provide " better " accommodation.

    Next we have an often seen feature of the canals, whether these are in use I am not sure however I saw a big fire in Great Bridge a few years ago and all the doors were open and there were hoses and pump engines for quite a distance so a useful source of water in an emergency
