    This postcard appears in a book "Kings Heath High Street" A Nostalgic Journey by Bob Blackham and Andy Bishop Obviously of the period, it's descriptive comment says "The right hand side shows Spier's furniture shop next door to the Hare and Hounds" .

    From Soho road, go down the hill of Rookery road, on the right hand side there was 'The Record Shop' at 112 Rookery Road, I went between 1962 - 64, and bought two 45rpm records. Shop was run by P.O. Deeley. Below from Kelly's 1967-68.

    Bob, In 1915 there was a George Houghton & sons, at 75 & 76 Heaton st, Hockley, they were listed as Leather Case Makers.
