    They were painted to celebrate local gold medallists from 2012 Olympics. We have two in Stratford upon Avon at the top of Bridge Street. They are quite a tourist attraction.

    I always did that. Lists are essential as are timings. I do lists for all special meals, whether for a large group of just the two of us. Having lists and timings allows this chef to drink fizz throughout the cooking process whilst still joining in with guests. I was trained to use timing lists...

    Thank you for sharing this. I have found my G G grandfather Samuel Hope in Gt King st. All the family were jewellers but we're living on the poverty line. Parents and 3 working sons in 1889.
