    Hi John, dad had a number of ex customers he would do gardens for. One was Stan the butcher on Kings Heath High St, Stan lived near Solihull and who had a number of rented houses dad would visit for him. Dad would also help out for Stan to do deliveries around Christmas time.

    Loveday in Moseley Road, Balsall Heath

    Not sure if this is still active, but my mother Rita Loveday was left this shop by her Auntie and lived and worked in it. It was a newsagent and a record shop then my mom sold it to ( if I remember correctly) Coopers and then married my dad Fred Dawkins and worked in the cafe on Highgate Road.
