    My friend Anne Aston went to Conway Road girls from about 1955 to about 1959. So probably a year younger than you. She can remember a friend Jean Franklin, who was from Trinidad. She lost touch with this friend and would like to make contact again. Please let me know if anyone remembers her.

    PS you are right he probably did have another trade, it's likely he wouldn't have relied on this for a living. What I would like is to locate some likely living descendants who may remember him or have some stories about him.

    Dear Florence, I am researching some musical Biddles, there names were Charles and Ernie and I have references to them playing an instrument called a dulcimer around the time of the first world war. I wonder if these are in your friend's family? Charlie Biddle played at Bordesley Palace in 1915.
