The bus looks like a BCC bus and BCC No. 70 did go to Oxhill Road, but as a Scouser I always associated Goodless, Wall & Co. as a Liverpool firm with HQ at Goodless House, Liverpool. Would be very interested in further info from members including location of Goodless House in Birmingham.

I think early BHam breweries often used boreholes. In 1922 Smiths sunk another borehole to supplement water supply. Taken over by Butlers in 1955.
