    I once knew a Rita Scarrott who lived in Mere Green. She was reared by her Grandparents when her mother died. The grandparents were named Willis who had a plant nursery in Tower Road, Mere Green.     Re: Shops Teddy Dent had a garage opposite Aston Church when I was a kid in the thirties. I used to be on the back of my father's coal lorry and Teddy would give me a shout as we drove past. regards, David.

    Hey Bernard I once gave my sister a spoonful of mustard and told her it was lemon curd, mom took to me with a small fire shovel but Granny White used the broom stale which hurt more.
