My Nan Doris May Owen lived on Prescott Street. At the time of her marriage to Joseph Harris her residence was stated as 3, Back 117, Prescott Street, Brookfields, Birmingham. They got married in 1935. I remember visiting the house before they were knocked down and Nan moved to Great Barr.

I have just found out that Walter Owen born Jan 1882, was a boatman. Occupation 1901 Boatman - Barge He apparently worked for a Thomas Beresford on the Birmingham canals. This is of a huge fascination to me because I started working on a boat in 2005 carrying coal and still liveaboard today...

Despite searching I am having no luck with finding any information on William John George Harris. This side of the family seems to be a complete mystery. I would of thought I could of found something online. Or maybe I am just not searching correctly?

Hi MWS. At some point Rose must have married William John George Harris. Because Joseph Harris was born in 1910. She would have been 22 in 1903.

Hi I am researching my family on my mothers side and I am stuck. My Great Grand-father William John George Harris married a Rose Ellen Stamford or Stanfield. Rose was born about 1881 in Aston, Birmingham. They married about 1903. I would appreciate any help offered.
