    Yes, I remember giving blood at the building in Old Square in the 70s, I worked at the Inland Revenue then and we were allowed to go in working hours which was an incentive!

    Yes! I had just made a guess at that and searched for Cornercroft Ace Works, seems like their main address was in Coventry, I wondered if they had a branch in Birmingham but couldn't see anything.

    In actual fact, we went by train! My Junior School was in Perry Barr, I can't remember now what station we went from.

    We went on a trip to Chester and Rhyl on a day trip from my Junior School in the 60s. It must have been a standard thing for Birmingham schools!

    I know exactly what you mean! There are people just up the road in my area of London that feed the pigeons and seagulls every day, they really are a pest, especially the pigeons flying around near ground level.

    I worked for them too, as a Saturday girl back in the 60s when they had two shops on the Soho Road in Handsworth. Of course, back then they were Mr Newport and Mr Green to me! I remember when they had the market stall in Priory Square afterwards, as you say, they were really nice guys. Sorry...
