My Uncle Alf Buckley owned a newsagents shop on Witton Island. When he died his daughter and son in law Carol Parsons carried on running it. My father and I sold newspapers on the Island in the early 50's
I went to Princess Alice infant School from the age of 5 till 7 1948-50 then Boldmere Junior school. Would love to see any photos of the school. I remember the entrance to the school was a long a lane off Chester Road.

My Grandfather Charles Robert Kelsall owned the shop on the corner of Oliver and Schofield Street until 1947 when his wife died. It was a Green Grocers shop. His daughter Elizabeth Aston acquired the shop some years later before moving to Cornwall.
