    Hi again, I spoke to two or three of the 'old boys' and they remembered Dad Moore. One of the last Duke St guys retired this week as it happens. He remembers your dad from Duke St and later, Park Lane. Said he was a quite stern but very fair man. It's a shame we don't have characters like that...

    Hi, it seems this thread is quite old, I hope it's still working! I'm chasing up the Duke St police workshops. I just met, randomly, the daughter of a guy who used to work there, Lawrence Grattige. I read your post, but I think you might be mistaken regards Park Lane. It didn't open until 1984...
