This is a really old thread but my great grandmother and her sister are listed as servants on the same 1901 census. One at 35 (Blanche Hodge) and one at 30 (Bessie Hodge). They worked for the Martin family for a short time and we still make "Old Mother Martin's Marmalade" from the recipe passed...
