    No posts since 2021? Have all the old boys and girls died? I vaguely recall Mr Spickernell and his reputation! The school became a mixed school after he was pensioned off under Beryl Farrer. She came to a reunion some 20 years later organised by one Eddy Stokes if I recall. I left in 1962...

    V interesting. My father said he met my mum to be on Billesley Common in 1945 after demob'. Lancasters/Wellingtons were I believe used to ferry POW's back to blighty. Any thoughts on where these large bombers may have landed in the vicinity? regards
