    The Morris 8 in your pictures has a reg No close to my first Austin 10 which was BNP14 so a 1937 reg. The first pic is an Austin Big 7.

    When I worked for Brooklyn Garage in the early 1960s the son of one of our customers took his dad's Austin A60 out in the evening and at some time after midnight wrapped it round the corner pillars of the Beacon Motors showroom. He suffered multiple injuries and was touch and go for a while but...

    My recollection of the Renown is that they had inadequate thickness of metal around the steering box which needed reinforcing because the box tore out of its mounting., Repaired three of them back in the day.
