Could you email me this. Can't get the original image quality by printing it as a pdf and straight download isn't working. I think this site is encrypted to avoid tampering with.
I was able
I was able to get this file the same way as I mentioned for the other. Can you decipher the age column? It looks like a description not an age. And I can't read their residence as I am unfamiliar with the regional names and can't read the hand writing.
Thankyou. I was able to open the attachment in a new tab then print it as a pdf then convert it to a jpg. Otherwise I could not open it as a downloaded jpg or print it. Very useful information about 3rd great grandfather Amos. I have just been doing some further looking and found the digital...
Th
Thankyou for this. I don't have it. I have the GRO which only gives the quarter not the day. I can look at it and press download but the file will not open. That has happened a number of times from this site. Yet some attached files I can open. Rather strange.
My first post was about the birth address of Walter George Ison. I was surprised with the generosity and knowledge of this group. Now I am looking at his father Amos Ison. Seems he is from Birmingham too. He was born 9 May 1823 in Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire. Google maps has shown me that...
Thankyou very much. I will add her to the tree. I would never have found her. Wasnt looking. Emma 1878, William 1879, John 1880, Emily 1882, Charles 1883 then 7 more in Brisbane. (Charles was born in Brisbane so no need to look for him).
Lyn,
Just had a close look at the image of the Census. I can read the recorded William K as William H and the children birthplace is transcribed as Stourport but I can read it as Stanford which is in the district of Kidderminster, thus correct. Boy! Can't trust transcription from paper to...
The census record linked to FamilySearch says Stourport, Worcestershire, England and for Walter George Ison says Aston, Warwickshire. Is this correct? My ignorance about English locations.

Considering the ambition of my family project which includes my grandson's line I will have to sign up. I didn't realise it gave access to primary records because I am cautious of the family trees I have seen in Ancestry previews and a trial I had of MyHeritage which turned out often to be in error.
Thanks again Lyn. Am entering Walter's bio and children into Wikitree at present and yes I will appreciate baltism for the three children born in Kidderminster if they can be found. William Homer continues to evade. Emily Mary Ison is my direct ancestor. She married another English immigrant...
Hi Lyn, I have used General Register Office (https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/login.asp) where both siblings were found in Kidderminster. And Free BMD (https://www.freebmd.org.uk/) where I got the same result. In both registers I tried searching for no first names over extended...
Thankyou for all the investigation into the mysterious Tay's Building for Walter George Ison and parents. Is Kidderminster regarded as part of greater Birmingham? Walter's first three children (he and Annie Rowley had 8 more in Brisbane, Australia) were born in Kidderminster. They were William...
