    Rose Field 1895 - 1938

So sorry for the delay in responding and thank you for all the replies - Rose Field did marry John Jones and went onto have my nan Doris, then my dad Barry Collett. Rose sadly died in 1938 and I have the death certificate to show this. It took a while for me to work out who her parents were...

    Stirrup Cup pub 1965

In 1965 as per the electoral roll Elsie and John Jones ran the Stirrup Cup pub. They are my great aunt and uncle. My dad Barry Collett knows very little about them other than that they were publicans. Think they also ran the Speedwell at some pint although I don't know where that was or is...

    Auxiliary Fire Service

Hi - looking for my husbands grandad - Samuel George Millard - according to 1939 census he was an acting divisional officer in the AFS. He died in 1962 aged 52 and no one left to ask about him. As a family we weren't even aware he had been in the AFS - makes sense as he never fought in WW1 due...

It certainly could be, although I've no way of confirming it? Think I've come to a dead end and may never find out? Thanks for your help though.

I don't - it's just as you say such a coincidence? The only documents that point her to Poplar, London are the 1921 census and her death certificate. Think it's just going to be one of those things that we may never find out?

    Cooksey Family--canal people.

Ellen Selina married Walter Day and had two children by him and then was with Samuel Millard, no marriage details found, just the census to confirm this. Just trying to work out how she became part of the family as John and Ellen Cooksey had another daughter Ellen ( who went onto marry Thomas...
