    As a footnote, we went back to nursery road. To my horror the whole area had been razed, and a school was built on the site! it doesn't always pay to go back....spoils the memories a bit.

    Hi Lynn. Thanks for the pictures of Nursery Road and Villa st. We lived on the corner opposite the greengrocer over the Post Office.The Crown was my father's pub, and the Vine too! My buddy Ann lived in Villa St, we were friends for a long time.

    Thank you lyn. I am so pleased that I can send my brother a copy.He is now 86 and went to Kegs Aston along with Mike and Peter, but has lived abroad for 60 years! Did you know Ann Sirr? She lived just below the general store with the wide frontage.Thanks again!

    I saw a photo of our house, which was built over the Villa St post office run by Mr and Mrs Reeves, and next door to Singl etons where they made packing crates. I can't find the photo but if anyone has this picture, I really would appreciate it being posted again.The name plate is also visible.
