Hi, Cars on Hill Street: Austin A90 Atlantic, Wolseley 699 or MG Magnet they have a very similar body shell, Austin 8 or 10, another Wolseley/ MG, Hillman Minx, Jaguar Mk9. Possibly a Vanguard, and then a Ford van.That's my best guess.
Hi..My sister attended Conway road School in the late 50s..I am sure it was all girls at that time..I went to Golden Hillock School and I vaguely remember dances being organized which took place in the basement

Looking at the chimney in the background of #4. There are no chimneys of the same shape on any of the images of the BSA factory prewar, I see your point about the cobbled road surface, it seems the road goes off to the right.
Hi Lyn Comparing the two photographs ..although 30 years apart , I agree not Armoury Road ,The unusual facade on the buildings on the right should be a clue .Do we have any photos of the BSA factory pre war.
Hi Jan,I was born in Sparkbrook in 1947. I went to Golden Hillock secondary School in the early sixties..I had school friends that lived in Armoury Road, I know the area well. I can remember a lot of the bomb damaged buildings in the area. As children we used to play in them. Some of the markers...
Hi My wife's late mother worked at Greet School in the 1970..80s..her name was Trudy Fields..She always said how much she enjoyed working there..anyone remember her..
Hi Tim... I remember going to the Picadilly Cinema on Stratford Road Sparkhill to see the film Ben Hur.It was a school trip as part of our history lessons. I remember it as a nice day out of the classroom...It must have been about 1960....Roy

Hi Bob..I think thats a Singer 9 sports..approx 1932.3 next to a Austin 8 two door ..1938.9..and the rear end of a Austin 10 four door .To the left of the Singer is a 1950s..Ford Prefect..Roy
