I'm sure I bought my senior school 'starter kit' here. A tin containing a protractor, ruler, set squares and compass for drawing circles. Oxford instruments seems to ring a bell?

I should imagine that list is of the beer abv rather than the price. Surely £4 a pint in 2002 would have been extortion

Firstly, thanks for your time in setting these posers. I can only speak for myself in that I enjoy the challenge and, although I probably have more time on my hands than some, only spend so long at it. I'm sure most others treat it the same, and yes, it is only a bit of fun. You can take away...

    Lloyd’s Bank/TSB Great Hampton Street.

I was just going to say that's the bank in front of the Spears factory in the other thread. Funnily enough that was one of the banks I did some work in.

I used the previous thread about the bus to help me locate the road, then another thread about the road to locate the pub. Those picture clues including Roy Castle, St Luke and the Sun were completely wasted on me lol. They went completely over my head.:D

It's been a long time since I was there and have lost my bearings a bit! Would the buses be outside of where Harry Parkes sports shop was?

Well well, how lucky was that! My only idea stemmed from the shape of the window frames and the door position. These were encouraged by the fact it is now an Asian eatery, as I said it was a best guess at most!

It's difficult to see, you need to scroll down quite a way and then there is a list of pubs by street all in one column all in the same text type. https://www.midlandspubs.co.uk/birmingham/

Identifying the location was quite straightforward by comparing maps. I found reference to the Skinners Arms on here, located next door to the Dogs home and confirmed the address as no 16 on pub wiki. It made sense with its locality to the Skin and Hide market. There was no further ref to the...
