    Hi Kevin.. I knew Mr Mortiboys.. loved his football. I refereed many times for his school team/s and indeed a Villa cup final at Villa Park. He always sent out strong teams from Washwood Heath school , maybe because they had 3 football pitches back of the school to train on... Happy days and...

    Hi.. it is a travesty what happens to all the artefacts what was in these old pubs..grade listing wasn't around then to save things like leaded Windows , etc. ... How ever I managed to acquire 2 wall lamps from the Duncan Edwards pub in Dudley back in the 80s. .... Brass and lallic glass lamps...

    Hi.. Small world... we used to live at 58 Cowper Street... We went to the school across the road.. also I vaguely remember Mrs Croft who ran the corner shop. Our surname was Barton.. we lived there until 1966/7 when the council moved us out to kingstanding... Small world....

I remember a classmate named Stephen Bick .... we went to Warren farm secondary modern school in Kingstanding , Birmingham back in 1969 to 73... I remember him has a quite slim lad with dark hair... He must be about 62...

    William Cowper Street School

    Hi..we lived opposite the school in the early 60s.. I attended the school until 1965.. I can remember Mr Webb who also ran the chess club a great teacher.... Moved out to kingstanding like a lot of summer landers....
