    To true Lyn I'm like you, we need our city looking nice and the canal work has been superb, but a lot of the work to streets and buildings is so final, your left with an area no where near resembling what it used to look like and all you have are pictures and memories it's very sad

    You can go on the dvla website now and type in any car number plate, it will tell you the complete history of the car, if its still on the road or not, when it was made and it's complete Mot history with everything it's ever failed on, quite amazing really

    This was and will always be my most favorite Birmingham store ever, One of my first stops would always be the HiFi department and then I could quite easily spend a few hours in there just browsing around. Christmas time was magical, I would give anything to have those times back again

    Hi Lyn My Dad started his business in Albion street and has worked in the jewelry quarter for 70 years (he's 86 now) There doing some lovely renovations to the old buildings in Hockley now, long overdue in my opinion the place has some great history and stories to tell Ade

    My workshop was at the top of keyhill drive for 10 years and the cemetery was my view out of the window for all those years. It's a beautiful peaceful place, very quiet and calm in the madness of the city, thanks for the photos it brings back great memories

    What do you watch on tv nowadays ?

    YouTube is really good now for showing complete series from years gone, at the moment I'm watching all the prisoner episodes (Patrick McGoohan) the TV now is pretty poor I'm not surprised that people are still turning to the old classics especially the old British comedy shows
