I remember doing that also with white gloves on.

My grandparents lived in one in Erdington and they loved it really cosy with a real fire.

I remember them to showing my age.

I served at Canterbury Rd from 1974 to 1976 when we were all moved to Sutton Coldfield when we were West Midlands Police and not Birmingham City Police.I preferred to work out of Canterbury Road to be honest.Joe 90

The mounted Police HQ was at Duke st,and there were further stables at Kings Heath.Bordesley Green.Ladywood.Thornhill Rd. Tally Ho.West Bromwich.when l was on the mounted in the 70s.
