    A Mr and Mrs Smith were the licensees of the White Horse at one time. They were addressed as Sir and Madam by the staff, how times change.

    To left of the Waterloo and underneath Christ Church was Old Moore's Oyster Room. When it was demolished oysters were growing on the walls.

    You could walk through Yates's out of the back door into the Windsor and at one time you get to the Imperial without getting wet.
