    I worked at Times Furnishings opposite the bull ring from 1972 to 73, short-lived when I was only 18/19, trainees in sales, I used to buy records and listen to them instead of working, I remember a salesman called Mr Dixey, was good fun and no regrets even though I was fired.

    Small world yes Dr Doris and Dr Paul Quinet. Their daughter was married to Victor Aldous who owned a jewellery shop in Stratford. Last I heard the family sold up and moved to Looe in Cornwall but I was divorced from Dr Quinet grand daughter in 1982.

    yes that right, it was Dr Paul Quinet who first lived there with his wife and daughter who became my mother in law. Quinet family both died in approx 1980 when the house was sold. It was very old fashioned inside with a lovely garden from what I remember back then.

    My dad Jeffery Dry worked at Cannings on Great Hampton Street from 1960 to 62, he knew Sir Ernest Canning and worked as Publicity Manager responsible for the catalogues and meeting customers, so Dad was about 35 then when we were living in Hall Green.
